Sapsik’wala is a word from the Ichishkiin/S which translates to "teacher", Maverick Magazine Spring 2022: is the name given to a program that was developed in collaboration with the University of Oregon College of Education in collaboration together with nine of the recognized federal Tribes of the State of Oregon. School of Education Celebrates 10 Years of Supporting the RIVERTOWN PARENTS.

The program lasts for 12 months and allows students to earn a master’s in education (MEd) degree as well as teacher licensure.
